This is a story of two neighboring families set in Kolkatta, one a conservative, traditional Marwadi family which is Ragini's family and the other an effervescent, liberal Bengali Family which is Swara's family, who have a very different set of value systems.

The media enter's Abhimanyu's house and tells his family that Ragini Maheshwari has said on the news that she will commit suicide if Abhimanyu does not go to her house and confess that he is Lakshya. However, Mansi interrupts and says that they do not need to answer to anyone because they are not lying and asks Sanskaar, who is in a disguise, to escort the media people out of the house. After leaving the media outside, Sanskaar comes back and tells Mansi that they should have answered back, because by not saying anything, they are inviting trouble upon themselves only.
