This is a story of two neighboring families set in Kolkatta, one a conservative, traditional Marwadi family which is Ragini's family and the other an effervescent, liberal Bengali Family which is Swara's family, who have a very different set of value systems.

Nikhil plans to keep an eye on Swara, who is not ready to share her plans with Nikhil, as he cannot afford her finding the truth out about him. Ragini gives Swara some money, as they both have to go to the ITO office the next day. Nikhil drops a glass by chance and Swara and Ragini confront him after hearing the noise. They both question him as to what is he up to and Nikhil tries to make an excuse. But then Nikhil tells them that he was eavesdropping on them and wants to help them in their plan. Swara reaches Abhimanyu's house in disguise of a maid and watches him enjoying with his family. Swara is trying to find out a clue in order to prove that Abhimanyu is no one else but Lakshya.
