This is a story of two neighboring families set in Kolkatta, one a conservative, traditional Marwadi family which is Ragini's family and the other an effervescent, liberal Bengali Family which is Swara's family, who have a very different set of value systems.

Swara and Nikhil are talking after a long time and Sanskaar watches them from the window. Nikhil confesses his love to Swara and Sanskaar gets angered watching them sitting together. He leaves the scene and Swara chides Nikhil for joking with her. They both then go to meet Ragini, who is with Shekhar and talking about Lakshya. Nikhil joins in and shows his support for the true love Ragini has for Lakshya, but Shekhar gets angered seeing this and scolds Nikhil. When Nikhil says that he is going to stay with Swara and Ragini, Shekhar loses his calm and starts scolding Nikhil in earnest. However, Sharmishtha handles the scene and later, Nikhil makes Ragini laugh with his kiddish behavior. Stay tuned to find out what happens next.
