This is a story of two neighboring families set in Kolkatta, one a conservative, traditional Marwadi family which is Ragini's family and the other an effervescent, liberal Bengali Family which is Swara's family, who have a very different set of value systems.

Swara and Ragini both slap each other and seeing this Swara's father asks as to why are they both fighting. Then Ragini reveals the entire reality to her father and how Sanskaar is responsible for Lakshya ending up behind bars. Meanwhile, Sanskaar goes to Maheswari house and starts beating Adarsh and even tells him to go and tell Lakshya that he had done this to create differences between Sanskaar and Lakshya. However, Anapurna comes in between and slaps Sanskaar for beating Adarsh. On the other hand, Swara's father makes Ragini and Swara understand that it's not the time to fight with each other. Later, on learning that Dadi Ma has ten lakh rupees, Ragini and her father decide to go to her. Swara tries to stop them but they both do not listen to her and walk away.
