This is a story of two neighboring families set in Kolkatta, one a conservative, traditional Marwadi family which is Ragini's family and the other an effervescent, liberal Bengali Family which is Swara's family, who have a very different set of value systems.

Mr. Maheswari is admitted to the hospital as he has suffered a major heart attack. Meanwhile, Sanskaar goes to get the cash from the ATM but finds that all his cards have been blocked and all accounts sealed. So Lakshya and Sanskaar decide to go to Adarsh for help. But Adarsh, instead of helping them, writes a cheque and tears it in front of Lakshya and Sanskaar. Adarsh even calls them beggars and hearing this Lakshya and Sanskaar start beating Adarsh. Later, Parinita calls Ragini and tells her that Lakshya and Sanskaar are fighting with her husband. Then Parinita warns Ragini that it would be better if they come and take them back otherwise she will send them to jail. When Ragini reaches the Maheshwari house Parinita insults Ragini and says if Mr Maheswari passes away in the future then they would again come like beggars asking for help for his funeral. Unable to bear such harsh words, Ragini slaps Parinita. Stay tuned to find out what happens next.
