It’s been way too long since we’ve had a new entry in this famous video game franchise, so we couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming Mortal Kombat Legends movie. The name “Scorpion’s Revenge” sounds pretty self-explanatory, but we’ll take a look back at the history of Hanzo Hasashi in both the video games and comic books. He and Sub Zero aren’t known for being the best of friends, and things definitely got complicated when Scorpion returned from the Netherrealm after being sent there by Bi-Han. But who is this Kuai Liang that’s listed on the cast list? Of course, we expect vengeance to be a primary component of this story but what if the real conflict isn’t between these two characters but rather fighting against evil doers like Shant Tsung? This martial arts tournament is definitely going to get a little bit crazy, and could force new and unexpected alliances to form between people who should hate each other. This is the first animated entry in the franchise we’ve seen for quite some time and it could set up major plot points which will play out in the future.
