One tradition in arcade versions of Tekken games is that, everytime you power the arcade machine/board on, you would be greeted by the respective game’s announcer, “Good morning!”. I don’t know what is exactly the reason or purpose behind it, but my best guess is the fact the arcade machine/board “wakes up” a.k.a. powered on, hence why the announcer says such thing. Moving aside, it’s a little nice and funny thing to say the least.

Only Tekken 4 doesn’t have a Good Morning sound. I’ve checked videos of the arcade version’s boot-up, no Good Morning sound at all.

I’ve also thrown in Soul Calibur’s “Good Morning” sound as a bonus (in this case, “Welcome back to the stage of history!”), since it’s the only game in the Soul series that does such thing in its arcade version.

I apologize for the quality of the Good Morning sounds in Tekken 5, Tekken 5: DR, Tekken 6, and Tekken 6: BR. Those were the best ones I can find. If you’re wondering where did I all got these sounds from, here are the videos listed below. The Soul Calibur one was recorded by me.
