An undeniable trend in gaming graphics during the early 90s was the usage of digitized graphics, made possible thanks to various advancements in hardware and software. Although a lot of game developers used it for bits and pieces like title screens, Williams and Atari Games in particular embraced this new tech early on. Resulting in hits like T2, Mortal Kombat, Pit Fighter and Primal Rage.
